M.A.T.S.S. Kids’ Gym & Early Childcare Education Center has been a cornerstone of the Long Island community for over four decades. What began as a small family-owned business has grown into one of the most trusted names in early childhood education and care.

Our journey began with a simple mission: to provide children with a safe, nurturing environment where they could learn, grow, and develop their full potential through play-based learning and structured activities.

Our Journey Through Time

1985

The Beginning

M.A.T.S.S. Kids' Gym was founded as a small gymnastics and early childhood center in Seaford, NY. The founders recognized the need for quality childcare that combined physical activity with early education.

1990

Second Location

We opened our second location in Syosset, NY, bringing our proven programs and philosophy to serve more families in the Long Island community.

1991

Continued Growth

We introduced innovative programs including afterschool classes, summer camps, and specialized programs for infants and toddlers, expanding our services to meet the evolving needs of families.

1995

Move to Bellmore, NY

We moved our Seaford, NY location to Bellmore, NY, quadrupling our space. This allowed us to open a full regulation gymnastics facility and program.

2000

Relocation of Syosset, NY Location

We moved our Syosset, NY location from a 1,500 sq ft facility to a 6,000 sq ft location, dramatically increasing our capacity to serve families.

2005

Further Expansion

We doubled our square footage in Syosset, NY to 12,000 square feet, allowing us to grow our programs and staff even further.

2010

Fourth Expansion

We relocated the Syosset, NY facility to our current home — an expansive 23,000 square foot space built to support our full range of programs.

2012

Program Innovation

We expanded to offer comprehensive daycare and nursery school programs, becoming a full-service early childhood education center. We became a New York State Licensed and Accredited daycare and nursery school, and earned AngelWatch Accreditation.

2015

30th Anniversary

We celebrated 30 years of service to the community, having helped thousands of children develop the skills and confidence they need for success in school and in life.

2025

40th Anniversary

On April 17th, 2025, we celebrated our 40th anniversary — four decades of excellence in early childhood education and care for the Long Island community.
